Banashree Nursing Home was founded by Dr. Suresh Sankeshwari. He started as first consulting Gynecologist at Gadhinglaj in 1980. Practicing since last 38 years as a consultant Obstetrician & Gynaec Endoscopic surgeon successfully. He had a mission of providing latest technologies to rural area in women’s health care. He was one of the first to start practice of Laparoscopic surgeries in Kolhapur District.
Initially laparoscopy was just a Diagnostic Laparoscopy & Laparoscopic Sterilization. In 1988, Laparoscopic surgeries started at Mumbai. He took training & started Laparoscopic Surgeries at Banashree Nursing Home since 1992.
Initially, Laparoscopic Hysterectomy was LAVH. Dr Suresh Sankeshwari developed his own special Uterine Manipulator suitable for Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy. He did his first Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy in 2001, using his self designed Uterine Manipulator. Operative Hysteroscopic surgeries are being done since the year 2000.

Any cancers do not occur in days or months, it is a long process in years to start malignant changes at cellular level & then progress to nearby tissues. If regular checkups are done, we can pickup these changes at pre-malignant stage or at early stage of malignancy. The same is true for other organs of the body.
